Lower Valley Matters is an independent site for analysis and discussion around local issues and decision-making by governments, school districts and institutions impacting people that call this beautiful area home. This includes the cities and towns of Grandview, Granger, Mabton, Prosser, Sunnyside, Toppenish, Wapato and Zillah along with the unincorporated communities along the I-82 corridor.
Our aim is to empower, inform and encourage dialogue around issues that often go unnoticed or have limited awareness due to a lack of public process, transparency or media coverage. We certainly will offer our own opinions and perspective on issues. But our primary goal is to bring forward more information and insights to spur discussion.
Given the vitriol and emotionally charged rhetoric in today’s politics and public discourse, for the time being, we plan to remain anonymous. But you should know we have deep connections to and understanding of the Lower Valley, we have lived, worked and have ties here that span generations. It is for those reasons that we feel this site represents something that’s been missing and we hope you find the content here helpful.
Thanks for visiting.
